Hue in Autumn

Autumn is leaving and Winter is coming. Leaves are showing us its last shining. Their crimson is most beautiful in recent years, I heard.
As I was a bit busy in November, I couldn't post . So let me  put some expression of the early Autumn, Autumn after harvest and the late Autumn.

1 .稲淵(Inabuchi), the famous area for terraced paddy fields.
When I came here in spring, those fields had water after the rice planting . Many tadpole were      harboring. And now I felt blessing to the rich harvest.

After reaping, they are hung to dry. Lately this scene is decreasing.

I heard the contest of scarecrow was held here before. Some scarecrow were remained. But if I come across them in the night, I am scared them.

A farmer are burning chaff or something over there. When I was child, I used to smell the chaff burning in the Autumn.

2.  I came across a heavy growth of Water hyacinth in 橿原市(Kashihara city )in  early autumn. They were shining in the light of sunset. I heard they were planted by pupils of a elementary  school.

3. Around 琵琶湖 (the Lake Biwa )in the late  Autumn.
The avenue of Metasequoia at Makino-Picland in west side of the lake Biwa.

Astringent persimmon were hung under the eaves. They will be sweet in the winter.

 The belfry

鶏足寺(keisokuji-temple)is at northeast of the lake Biwa. Plenty of fallen leaves turn the ground of this temple into a red carpet. Though usually here is so quiet temple,  many people visit here during this season of colored leaves.

The garden of  彦根城(Hikone castle) in east side of the lake Biwa.

Would you like a cup of green tea under this parasol in this garden, watching colored leaves or the castle etc?

Pierwszy raz widzę co się robi z ryżem po ścięciu. Ciekawie to wygląda. Kwiaty i jesienne liście pięknie wyglądają. Pozdrawiam.
The first time I see what you are doing with the rice harvest. It looks interesting. Flowers and autumn leaves look beautiful. Yours.

Beautiful and interesting photos Sarah. Is the rice now usually dried by machine? I have often wondered if scarecrows actually work, because they are not moving. The cosmos flowers and red leaves look lovely, especially the stream of flowing leaves.Thank you for showing the last days of Autumn.

Have a lovely week Sarah,
Ruby

How nice to see a bit of your part of the world! I've never seen rice growing and find it interesting to see the rice drying on racks in the open fields.
The leaves are pretty with all the bright colours.
Nice country with green fields and mountains.

What a gorgeous journey through autumn! I would like to sit under that umbrella throughout the entire autumn (and I wish autumn could last forever). I hope the tea will be very warm, because the air will probably get very cold. ^^

This is a lovely highlights of your autumn domestic trips with a camera, Sarah. You travelled as far as France, too, and you must have enjoyed fully this autumn. All these places, I myself also visited and was reminded sweetly by your photos. Keisoku-ji would sink into the silent solitude when the season is over. When I visited two years ago, the earthen steps were almost losing the shape by many people’s trodding and I hope the steps were restored afterwards. Yes, I’ll have a cup of green tea and a piece of sweet, please.

To Forest Dream Weaver
Yes, now the rice is dried by machine. Combines reap and thresh at one time. After that paddy is dried in the factory.
Though scarecrows don't work like surprising sound or glittering tape, I think some sparrows go to the field that are not scarecrows or don't feel human's smell.

We have snow about five times in a winter, maybe. But we have deep snow only once or twice. But in north of japan they have snow everday.

Wow, what a beauty! I loved running through the changing images of the season. The scarecrows are cute and the sight of the hanging rice harvest reminds me of all the hard work that is gone into it. And oh yes, I would love to have a cup of tea and a sweet with you any day. :)

昨年は紅葉をほとんど見に行けませんでしたので、今年こそはとおもっていました。結局、あまり行けずです。sarahさんの紅葉のお写真素晴らしいです。少しは行ったような気になりましたよ。
